The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2015

LimeTree Alfresco were contacted by Phillip Withers Landscape Design to collaborate on his awesome show garden – Food Forest – at this years Melbourne Flower and Garden Show.

The result was a spectacular and functional garden that included a hand painted water tank and clever chook run that doubled as modular bench seating. Constructed by Semken Landscaping, this Outdoor Space was not only colourful & sustainable but practical and fun.

Our Outdoor Kitchen which took centre stage on the raised deck incorporated a Rinnai 4burner BBQ in a trendy black enamel finish with Elfa beverage centre and some fantastic aluminium coloured panels to match the screening by Outdeco. These fantastic screens were painted with a selection of Porters Paints and looked brilliant.

On top of this cooking station was a 40mm Dekton bench top with slab ends in a stunning colour called Edora. These tops are almost indestructible and are the perfect choice for outdoors. A square stainless undermount sink and gooseneck mixer tap means this baby is fully self sufficient, which is handy when dinner can be picked from the garden just metres away.

The show garden was recognised by the judges taking home a silver medal. Food Forest also picked up the Honda sustainability award. Congratulations to our partners and all involved.
